At Parua Bay School, we believe that learning goes far beyond the classroom. While reading, writing, and mathematics form the foundation of education, it is often during school camps that children truly discover who they are, learning about their strengths, resilience, and what they are capable of achieving.
We are proud to offer rich and varied camp experiences for all students from Years 3–8. Camps are an integral part of our curriculum and play a key role in developing confident, well-rounded learners. Through these experiences, students learn to work together, step outside their comfort zones, and build independence in a safe and supportive environment.
Unlike many schools that reserve outdoor education for senior students, Parua Bay School believes that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the challenge and adventure of camp. Being away from home and being surrounded by friends, teachers, and the beauty of our natural environment helps our tamariki grow in confidence, responsibility, and resilience.
These shared experiences create lasting memories and empower our students to become capable, connected learners ready for their next journey beyond Parua Bay School.
