Parua Bay School has the following facilities in its grounds:

• Te Kupenga o Te Matauranga (The Net of Knowledge) block, completed May 2021.  This block contains 8 classroom spaces (Y 3/4 and Y5/6), Library, Maker Space, Admin area (Reception, Principal's Secretary, Assistant Principal and Principal) and Staff Room.

• Te Akonga ('Place of Learning') block containing 4 classrooms for Y0-2 students

• Senior block (Y7/8) with 4 classroom spaces, designed for collaborative teaching.

• Hall incorporating basketball hoops and gymnastic equipment

• Swimming Pool 

• Hardcover playground areas

• Tiger Turf

• Pump Track

• Numerous sandpits

• Covered Playground area

Other facilities within Parua Bay School grounds/proximity:

Parua Bay Playcentre

This purpose built facility is parent-run and available for new-borns to school age children.  It is located within the school grounds, just a one minute walk to the school office. For further information phone 436 4074.

Manaia Kindergarten

This facility, manned by Early Childhood Teachers, is also purpose built and caters for children from 3 years of age to school age – it, too, is also located within school grounds with a board walk from the school to its location in Kiteone Road. For further information phone 436 1262.

Parua Bay Day Care

Before & After School Care

Parua Bay School offers Before and After School Cares services onsite, for students at Parua Bay School and cater for the two local schools, Parua Bay Primary and Whangarei Heads Primary School.  We operate a transport services for Whangarei Heads school students.  For further information please phone the school office.
