Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
All parents and caregivers of children enrolled at Parua Bay School are automatically part of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
The PTA meets regularly, and all members of our school community are warmly invited to attend. The PTA provides a valuable link between families and the school, helping to strengthen the partnerships that support our students' learning and wellbeing.
A key role of the PTA is fundraising to provide resources and opportunities that enhance the educational experiences of our students. Funds raised help support Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) programmes, purchase additional learning resources and equipment, and contribute to projects that enrich our school environment beyond what is covered by the school's operational funding.
Just as importantly, the PTA helps foster a strong sense of community by bringing families together and encouraging connections across our school. Alongside fundraising, the PTA supports social activities that celebrate our school community and strengthen relationships between students, whānau, and staff.
We welcome new members and encourage anyone interested in supporting Parua Bay School to come along to a meeting and be part of making a positive difference for our tamariki.
