Newsletter – 27th February 2018 Term 1, Week 4 Feb 27, 2018 1488 Views Kia ora koutou whanau Thankfully the warm, wet, muggy weather that persisted throughout the summer holidays and into the start of this term seems to have disappeared, and has been replaced by more pleasant conditions. We are very lucky to have air conditioning units in all classrooms at school, and this allows our teachers and students the opportunity to learn throughout the day even in the warmest temperatures. Newsletter – 13th February 2018 Term 1, Week 2 Feb 12, 2018 1601 Views Kia ora koutou whanau The staff and students have settled back quickly into the business of teaching and learning at Parua Bay School, and the feeling around the school is one of excitement and optimism. I would like to thank all those involved in our lovely powhiri last Friday morning - it was wonderful to see so many parents and koro present at this fabulous occasion. It really is a credit to the school that, even after 7 weeks away on holiday, our tamariki feel confident and secure enough in their identity to give our new students and staff such a fantastic welcome. The powhiri process is completely embedded in the culture of the school and has been thoroughly “normalised”.
